Within one of the first weeks I was visiting ocean city I ate here because it was located conveniently next to our beach house. I had heard many good reviews and I was looking forward to a good dinner. This dinner turned my dream into a nightmare. The restaurant was busy, as usual, but I was seated in about 15 minutes. I sat on the first floor near the right corner. This area was always filled with crazy waiters trying to get food to impatient customers. It started off as any normal dinner. We ordered drinks and our food altogether to save time. I may not be qualified to say this but, really how hard is it to make 4 drinks? That is such a simple task, that, even on a busy night should only take 5-10 minutes. It took our waiter a whooping 20 minutes to get 2 diet cokes, a lemonade, and a glass of water. That was only the beginning though. We ordered chips and guacamole as one of our appetizers, which, really is a very common appetizer. I'm all for simple things, but it seemed that to them it was quite a difficult task to pull off. Our waiter came back to our table and said that they were "just about our of guacamole" and that they only had a little left. That is what I call poor food management. After being thoroughly disappointed from the appetizer, I found myself unable to think. The live music is blasted through the whole restaurant and you can't hear or carry on a conversation. I found myself screaming just to be heard and it's not like the music was good anyway. I would have preferred someone yelling in my ear to that music (it basically would have sounded that way anyway). On to my next complaint though, the service. As I mentioned before our waiter was unexplainably slow and moved erratically throughout the restaurant in, what looked like, spastic motions. I nicknamed her SIA for "Spaz In Action". During the night she ran into one waiter, making him drop his plates, then proceeded to get irritated saying that it was all his fault. As if this wasn't enough for me to leave already, the food took about an hour and twenty minutes altogether for a few burgers and some Mac and cheese. This restaurant does not make my top 10 list, my top 100 list, or even my top 1,000 list (and I haven't even eaten at that many restaurants). My advice for you is to skip this place and find somewhere that has waiters that aren't brain dead.

Loved this new restaurant! First...between 5-6pm all drinks are 2 for 1. ALL drinks!! I had a delicious strawberry kiwi mojito. My husband had a Longboard Lager. We shared a basket of warm tortilla chips and queso. Chips were light, crispy. Amazing! Then moved on to dinner. I ordered the fish tacos.....OMG! Absolutely delicious with the homemade salsa! Hubby had a Waimea burger, with pineapple, bacon, Swiss cheese and teriyaki. Really, really good! Waitress was very friendly and attentive. Will definitely go back!!

We visited this establishment tonight for the first time and loved it! We had 6 adults and 3 kids. Our waiter Jake was fantastic! He was very attentive to our needs and had a great personality! The food was fantastic and wasn't your typical every day menu. It was original and very tasty! The owner was there and was also very friendly and even comped one of our meals because the burger wasn't done all the way but was delicious! They even have 2 for 1 drinks from 5-6! This is definitely going to be our favorite restaurant when we are in town which is quite frequent!

Will definitely come back and would definitely recommend. We had chips and salsa as an appetizer and the two types of fish tacos. Both were delicious and the portions for everything were very generously sized and a bit on the larger side. Couldn't finish all three of my tacos and the french fries were terrific. Not too pricey but a little let down when I saw $5.00 on the bill for the two iced teas we ordered -- though we did have free refills. Just missed happy hour from 5-6PM where apparently if you buy an alcoholic drink, you get a second one free (what they call "241526"). Sounds like a good deal to me!

Food was great. Staff was great. Very good beers on tap. It is a must stop in ocean city.

Awesome food. No buts, everything was great from service to portion to taste to menu. No excuse to not visit, definite regulars

Really great dining experience in OCMD! The interior is really nicely designed but relaxed. The service was excellent. The food and drink menus had a lot of appealing options, and everything we ordered was tasty. The wings, crab stuffed artichokes, and fish tacos were all super delicious. We'd definitely go back!

Great service and reasonable prices. Food was excellent. We had grilled jerk fish tacos and burgers. My mother in laws burger was underdone. The owner came to apologize and refunded the burger price. Nice atmosphere on the deck. Quality kids meals too!

We stopped in here Memorial Day weekend and had a less than desirable experience. We came around 6:00, and they were already out of several things on the menu. We waited 1:15 to get our food. One of the meals in our party came out different than what was ordered (flour instead of corn tortillas because they ran out of corn, no side of coleslaw) and the waitress didn't mention anything. The owner never addressed the situation and the waitress never visited us during the 1:15 we were waiting for our food. By the time we left they ran out of chicken, steak, and fish among other things and none of the tables around us had food. This gets two stars because the food was acceptable--hardly worth the long wait, albeit. Unfortunately, little was done by the waitress or owner to salvage the experience.

Will not be going back. Food took a long time (they were not crowded) and it was awful. My daughter had the risotto & it had a "funny" taste. Hope she doesn't get sick. Jerk mahi tacos were cold & there was barely any fish. Potatoes on my son's plate were overly whipped so the starch got glutinous. They looked/tasted like paste. Probably the worse meal I've had in OC in a long time. Had heard so many good reviews so needless to say we were really disappointed. Maybe lunch is better because dinner was disgusting.

There are a ton of places in Ocean City that offer a "beach dining" experience. This is not one of those places. What they offer is good, fresh food at reasonable prices. I was thrilled with my meal, especially after having nothing but low quality and mostly fried good all week.

My family and I came here a few times on our most recent family vacation. It was our first time at the cafe and we were very impressed. 241526 Happy hour was a lot of fun, lunch food was great staff was very friendly. Definitely coming back and highly recommend!

Nice atmosphere and service was good. However, our dinners (table of 5) took an HOUR to be delivered. The server kept saying it would be a few minutes, but clearly that wasn't the case. The restaurant was mainly full, but was far from slammed, so I have no idea what took so long. We complained to the server about the wait and she told the manager who did buy us a round of drinks to try to make up for the wait. The food itself was ok, definitely not great, not bad either. I had the pork tacos and they were somewhat bland. Others at my table liked their food, but nothing to rave about either. I might give them another try, but with so many other options nearby, that's a big maybe.

"A pleasant surprise" about sums this up. I really didn't feel like cooking so based on yelp reviews we decided to check this place out. The atmosphere was really relaxed but nice, not a dive. The service was fast and friendly. The food was very good, not top end restaurant, but we didn't get the entrees either, just the pub food. The happy hour deal was buy one get one free. 2 beers for 6 bucks in OC is a hell of a deal. It only goes from 5-6, but they'd go broke if it was any longer. A bonus they have outdoor seating and we asked if they accept dogs on the patio, they said not only do they accept dogs, they love it when people bring their pooches. We will be going back, pooch in tow.

Massively disappointed! Hostess was nice and menu looked great but after 10 minutes of being ignored by an incompetent waitress we had to leave. Needs improvement

Happy hour: 2 drinks for the price of one! Seated quickly, drink orders taken instantly. Server friendly and knew the menu inside out. Food came out fast and hot. And delicious! 2 Margaritas, 2 bottles of Blue Moon, 2 orders of fish tacos, 2 fries=$44. Left full and happy. May upgrade to 5 stars when we go back and try something else. A bright spot in the culinary wasteland of OC.

I would obviously give this place a ten...for having great drinks...their problem does not come with drinks or food it comes from service....I believe that they are working the bumps of their service....cus food takes forever even though they are empty sometimes....I've known this restaurant cuts they were actually inside sunset island...and they used to serve in the club house area....their drinks have always been good...if not great... (the new Restaurant in there the landing has crappy drinks)and their food is not like OMG but it is acceptable... for OC... Based on this I give them three stars...not cus their food or drinks are not good but cus I came with 4 kids and two adults and we waited 1 hour until food arrived....my kids were almost crying....well I will give it a second try and see....

Tucked away a bit but a good lunch and probably dinner spot. Small bar but they have what you need. A good place for a great meal without the crowds. I had a BLT with avocado which was absolutely delicious. Great bacon and bread and that avocado just pulled it all together. My son got the mac and cheese which he claims is the best mac and cheese on the planet. Mind you my son basically only eats mac and cheese and pizza so this is actually a glowing recommendation. My wife got the veggie wrap which was fresh and perfect. Oh, and they have a hot sauce bar if you need it. Really, a very pleasant surprise.

My girlfriend and I had lunch here with the kids. The ambiance was cute. It had the beach feel with a tiki bar and two TVs showing sports channel. I had the turkey panini which was amazing. It was huge sandwich but so good with the brie and granny smith apple slices. I feel it was a little over priced but we are at the beach.

If your not looking for it you will pass this amazing find! I got the ahi nachos---the Siracha Aioli was amazing on the tuna that was on top of a wonton wrapper! My daughter got the jerk tacos and was my fond of the mango salsa that I thought was delish but she scrapped it off and loved the tacos themselves!

Friendly service, nice outdoor seating and great food here last weekend! Really enjoyed my salmon dish and everyone else enjoyed their food as well. A more sophisticated spot then some in OC but without being too fancy or expensive. Would be perfect for a date or small to medium size group.

Great service- incredibly friendly and welcoming. Delicious food- appetizers of fried green tomatoes and kitchen sink nachos; entrees of burgers and tacos. Cute atmosphere, great drinks. Definitely a great place to go in OCMD!!!!

Food was good staff was nice. Good for kids and adults. Live band was a nice add to the meal. I have eaten their twice. Burger and fries were large in portion size and tasted great. Kids had pizza and burgers and liked both. Located in a nice shopping center with candy store, surf shop and yogurt store. Also next to miniature golf. I would recommend also getting reservations one of the few places I found that would take them in oc.

My family and I had lunch at The Longboard Café last weekend and we will definitely be returning. The décor is super cute and they had a great lounge area where my kids were able to watch a surf movie. The food was amazing. We ordered the Duck flatbread app that was out of this world and my turkey Panini was fantastic. Everyone in my party loved their meals even the kids. Our waitress (Blair I believe) was so friendly and fantastic with the kids. I definitely cant wait to go back for lunch and Im even more excited to try dinner.

Longboard Cafe is located a block or two off the ocean, and is a great place to pop in for some classic American food. It's got a classic beach bar feel, and at least when we went, it felt relatively family friendly (loud on the inside, but nice tables outside). We stopped by on a 3-day weekend in October, and ordered the following (organized by deliciousness): Delicious: Chorizo Burger. Honestly someone at your table needs to order it. Baja Steak Salad. perfect if you want to think you are eating healthy (you aren't). Good: Crab Quesadilla. It was good, but a little TOO fishy (not too crabby, that's an entirely different and awesome issue. Too fishy). So here's my main complaint. It was impossible to get food/drinks. We went in October (READ: it wasn't busy. there were some women at the bar making some questionable life choices with some wont-be-attractive-in-the-morning men, but otherwise not a lot of people ordering food). We waited about 1/2 hour to get drinks, and then the waitress forgot to get everyone's drink order! She literally walked away skipping two people. By the time she came back with the beverages, those 2 were questioning whether it was worth the effort to order one. It took another HOUR AND A HALF (no exaggeration, despite the aggressive all caps) to get our food. I'm not kidding when I said no one else was ordering food. I went through the usual list of reasons why it might be taking so long: did the kitchen staff look stoned? was there a particularly good football game on? Did one of us order our food welldone/burnt? Alas, I could not figure out why we waited so long. When you couple that with our drink time, we were literally at the restaurant for two hours before we got food. And when the food came out, though delicious, it wasn't really that warm. TL:DR The aforementioned cocktails were good, and the food is good, but don't go if you are actually hungry. You will eat your arm before you get good service.

superb food and great service... we had the chips and salsa/queso/guac, the crab avocado tower, and the ahi burger, all very good... with four drinks it was about $80 before tip, so not cheap.

Wonderful restaurant with great food and service. All food and beverage are delicious. Perfect margarita is great and good beer selection too. The Mexican corn and green bean apps are great. Live music several times a week are good!

  • Cliff B.

Really good food, drinks, and service! Particularly enjoyed the appetizers (figs in a blanket, crab-stuffed artichoke buttons, and Mexican corn). The grouper (Mediterranean style), fish tacos and burgers were also really delicious. Excellent craft beers plus live music playing 60s/70s covers. Only (very minor) complaint was that one burger was slightly over-cooked.

Only some of the food is really good here. I loved the cream of crab soup. Papas Fritas are very good. I wouldn't get the avocado halves with shrimp salad or crab salad. The shrimp salad uses baby shrimp that are barely even real shrimp. The crab salad has way too much mayonnaise. The burgers look delicious though and so do the wraps and sandwiches. Good lunch restaurant. Decent menu some great options (not the healthiest options but still really yummy options). However, the service has been terrible every time I've been here. No one checked to see how I liked the food, we saw other tables get food before us that arrive after us, we had to ask for our food, we had to ask the waiter for the check because he wouldn't come by our table. Second time I came the waitress didn't bring us a check until 30 minutes after eating. Cool environment and tasty options but the service does not meet up to par.

My wife and I decided on this place for our "dinner & a movie" night while in town on vacation. The reviews and the menu seemed to seal the deal for us. We arrived around 7 to find the place moderately busy. The hostess was quick to make a point about being extremely busy and that there was going to be excessive waits. She couldn't have been more accurate in her assessment. We were seated on the outdoor deck, which was very nice. Easy to hold a conversation, and the weather was beautiful. After a few minutes, the waitress took our drink order...and then the wheels started to come off the wagon. We waited a good bit before the waitress came back to take any sort of appetizer or food order. We opted for a couple of apps...more on that in a minute. Quite a few minutes later, the owner brought out our drinks and then the waitress came over to take our dinner order. Then we waited....and waited....and waited. Nothing. No check to see if we needed any more drinks...no appetizers...nothing. Finally I went to the hostess stand to complain and was told the owner would come talk to me. Sure enough, he did come out and offer an explanation and apology. The waitress just dropped the ball apparently and didn't put our orders in. He went further, and gave us dinner on the house, which to my surprise appeared rather quickly. The food was FANTASTIC. Which made up a little for the poor service. Long story short, we'll give it another go, because the food was that good. The fact that the owner came right out and tried to make it right is also a big plus in our book. Food - 5 stars Service - 1 star Owner - 5 stars

Came here a few times this summer and has become one of my favorite places to grab a lunch in all of OC. As a local I can honestly say they have the best fish tacos in the area.

Luv this place. On this visit I ordered the oyster and shrimp po'boy and I was not disappointed. Even the unsweetened ice tea was 4 out of 5 stars. Like how Rick the owner is always around. The key to this restaurants success I'm sure.

Saw this placed advertised in one of the OC magazines and thought it would be worth a try. The reviews here were pretty good, so we thought why not. When we arrived they were busy and the hostess was very happy that we were willing to sit in their outdoor area. It was nice out so we went a long. The menu is varied. My wife ordered the brie and walnuts app. It was great. I ordered the duck confit flatbread. It was one of the most fantastic dishes I have ever eaten. From there it was done hill. Our entrees arrived five inured after our apps. My wife's dinner of chicken rickey was over cooked, dry and unappealing. I had the shrimp risotto which was overly cooked risotto with bland flavorless boiled shrimp put on top. They were gracious enough to deduct my wife's dinner at least. The apps would be rated 10 stars...dinner 0. I would suggest getting the, apps and maybe a dinner salad or burger.

Found this place looking for a good lunch spot in OC. Great place. Comfortable outdoor seating and great service. Mahi Tacos were outstanding, and I also tried the Steak panini which was really good. Highly recommend.

We ate here for the first time tonight. My fiancé and I love going out to eat and are always trying to find fresh local food. Ardrea was our server. She was on point. She was able to give recommendations such as the wrinkled green beans. Which are flash fried and served with their secret sweet sauce. This recommendation was amazing. She recommended the small portion which was perfect for two. We also ordered the kitchen sink tortillas. Both appetizers came out quickly. Which was wonderful! Our drinks were amazing and we were able to take advantage of the 2 for 1 happy hour even on the patio! Our server gave us time to eat our appetizers and finish our beverages before asking us what else we wanted. I appreciated not being rushed. We were able to enjoy the atmosphere and the company. My fiancé ordered the mahi jerk tacos which he is still raving about. I ordered the avocado salad with crab and shrimp salad. I loved that it was light, fresh, and flavorful. We cannot wait to go here again!

Considering I had yet to have a good meal in Ocean City, I arrived here with low expectations. Fortunately, my family and I were beyond impressed. To begin, it is super beach chic and decorated to perfection. You can choose to sit outside under large umbrellas or inside. We chose to sit in and the music selection was enjoyable. To start, we ordered hummus which came with flatbread, cucumbers, peppers, and carrots. The hummus was fabulous and flavorful, which is hard to come by with homemade hummus. Three of us had burgers which were SO delicious. I was extremely pleased! We also had a Caesar salad which was slightly grilled with homemade croutons. Delicious!! Our waitress Dora was kind and helpful. She made sure that our drinks were always filled and that we enjoyed our meals. She was great. This was the best meal I've had in Ocean City!

Definitely the best food I've had in Ocean City this week. The bacon black & blue burger was very tasty. The asparagus addiction came with a really good sweet & spicy sauce. The food looked fresh. I was even impressed with my son's chicken tenders. They were real chicken not some mystery meat that you get at some places. If you're in the mood for a cocktail try the perfect margarita. I generally don't like them but this one was *so* good. Service was great. Highly recommend it.

Arrived at 6PM on a Tuesday. Seated outside at once. A beautiful evening. Started with a Silver Surfer Margarita, delicious! It was still happy hour for 5 minutes so I got two drinks for the price of 1. We also had the hummus it was terrific. For dinner entrees we had the red snapper Mediterranean style and the Surf, Turf and Surf. The fish was very good and the toppings were very tasty. The steak was done med. rare as ordered. The small crab cake was all crab and the two shrimp were very large. The side of loaded mashed potatoes was delicious and the snap peas were very good. Service was very prompt and pleasant If i could mark anything down it would be the "steak" knife. It was not that sharp. Will consider going back again for sure.

Went to Longboard on a date w. my husband. We had a reservation and was seated on time. Food was tasty, husband got the Longboard burger and I had salmon. We also got an appetizer - kitchen sink chips - all really good. The craft beer offering was small - my husband likes brown ales, stouts and porters, they had none of them on their menu. Longboard is solid - I loved that they took reservations and I would go back.

We needed a place to go after jetskiing, it was about 830pm and a lot of places was an hour wait and .. We were hungry! After calling some places, we were able to get a spot held for us at longboard cafe. Table was a minute from being ready when we got there Food came out super fast! My boyfriend and I got a burger, I forgot which one but it was the bomb! We also order an appetizers of mussels but not the best I had. It was drowned in cooking wine but still pretty yummy I had the avocado salad Half crab meat half shrimp. I didnt like that the skin wasnt taken off. Thought the plate was too simple for whAt it was priced at. And to inconvenient too eat. The flavors couldve been better too, a little too fishy taste with the shrimp and crab meat. Seemed like the salads were premade and kept there so its not fresh. However not the worst thing All in all a good experience :)

What a fantastic find. I had the shrimp curry over coconut rice it was delicious. Also had the salmon which was quite good. Finally the drinks were delicious and reasonable. The pipeline rum drink went down so easy. The staff were attentive, friendly and very helpful. We will be back.

Don't let "cafe" in the name fool you -- it's a wonderful sit-down restaurant that was perfect for a date night or a nice family dinner in Ocean City. I called the restaurant to check on the wait and to ask for directions and the bartender (I think) gave excellent directions. It's tucked away so you won't see the restaurant when you're driving. But turn on 67th St. when you see the Ron Jon surf shop and it's right there. We were seated inside right away and were impressed by the decor of the restaurant. It had a beachy vibe to it without being tacky. There was two levels of seating as well as outdoor seating on a little deck overlooking the parking lot. And live music as well, which is always a big plus in my book! I ordered the Wild-Caught Salmon Filet and it was delicious! It was a nice size of salmon with a teriyaki-sriracha glaze over a bed of greens, corn, avocado, grape tomatoes and balsamic vinegar. I ate every bite! Service was excellent throughout dinner as well, even though the restaurant was very busy. I wouldn't recommend coming here for happy hour though. Longboard offers a 2-for-1 drink special from 5-6 pm, so literally ONE hour. Otherwise, it's totally worth a visit for the fresh seafood and great service.

YUM YUM and YUM!!!! LOVE this place!!!! Staff was very nice as well. Went total of three times in a row, prob would of been more, had we tried it earlier on in vacation lol. First day we sat outside, adorable! I had the steak fahita, Yummers!!!! Tender steak, not fatty, nicely seasoned too! Love the adorable chilled glass bottles they serve water out of! Didn't taste like OC tap water like some of the other restaurants we went to (gag). Second day we sat inside, adorable! had the salmon, warm chips with guacamole, As well as two glasses of their prickled pear with salt YUM YUM and YUM!!!! Hubs agreed we would go back a third day which I had to have the salmon again with another double dose of prickled pear! We sat upstairs this time, as it was a thurs and happy hour, and we had two small children. Was a little small, but still cute, sports on tv was a nice touch and we all still really enjoyed our dinner and drinks. We will def be back!!! Oh kids enjoyed the ckn fingers, fries and burger! Hubs wrote his own five star review.

Even for Ocean City, the food was pricey for sure. Though the menu is extensive, if I were you, I'd go with a simple burger. My family and I got grouper that was so-so. Also, drinks were especially pricey! Watch out for the bill when you eat here as it adds up quickly! Despite the dining experience being mediocre, the live music was fantastic! Great atmosphere and great music. All in all, go for the music and play it safe with a burger.

Had a great dinner at Longboard while in Ocean City. The service in the atmosphere were really great. We were there for dinner but caught the tail end of happy hour where they had buy one get one free drinks. score! I had a blue cheese bacon burger that was cooked perfectly and came with a side of pasta salad My husband had the crab avocados stack and said it was really tasty and very fresh. Our kids like their kids meals a lot too. We would definitely go there again on vacation.

What a super cute place. We were shopping next door at Ron Jon's and walked around the little sidewalk and saw this patio. They were so inviting we decided to look at a menu. It was the perfect Memorial Day afternoon, not too hot and we wanted to have a drink and some lunch before we left OC. Their menu drew me right in, so many unique lunch options. I had my heart set on a burger and when I saw that their burgers were a combo of ground, brisket and short ribs I was like ohhh yes. For cocktails they had quite the selection. I had the "Perfect" Margarita, and boy was it. So good. A little pricey I thought for the size but after a few sips I realized it was completely worth it. This was not your run of the mill pre-made only sour mix, margarita. It was indeed, perfect! I loved it. My fiancé ordered the "Liquid Watermelon" which he had two of, he said it was light and refreshing not syrupy and sweet. I tried it too, not being a big fan of watermelon I thought it was pretty good! For entrees we both got the burger, he got a regular one, while I tried the Waimea. It had pineapple, bacon and teriyaki sauce it. So tasty! I highly recommend. With their burgers the side is normally their coleslaw or pasta salad that they make in house. I didn't have either. One thing I noticed on the menu that if the gluten gods had given me a free pass for the day I would have tried, was the crabby waffle. It's a waffle and it has crab dip on it and some other items. I saw this brought out to almost every table but ours. You should definitely order it. Do it for me. I'll live vicariously through you. It's a perfectly cute place for lunch or for a drink. I didn't go inside but I'm sure that's nice too!

Excellent restaurant! Very crowded, yet the service was friendly and stellar. Fish, burgers and tacos were all very good. Outside seating on the terrace provides nice ambiance. The menu has great variety of less expensive lite fare mixed with higher end entrees. Something for everybody! Looking forward to dining there again.

Great atmosphere and staff! The menu offers a casual or fancier dining experience depending on your mood. We sat at the bar and had a great time. Ate the Ahi Tuna nachos, saffron lobster risotto and St. Croix Salad. All were delicious!! Risotto had great flavor but was a little more like rice than risotto- not creamy enough. Looove the salad! Also finished with a pineapple gooey bar - it tasted like a pineapple upside-down cake. So good! Definitely go here!!

Food was delicious, service was ok...reservation required if it's on a busy weekend. The burgers are a chuck, brisket, rib mix and were super good! The nachos were addicting and my sons Mac n cheese was yummy too. Would definitely come back here.

I was in OC for 4 days and, by far, had my best meal & Orange Crush at Longboard! We were even lucky enough to show up during 2-for-1 happy hour. The service and food were both great and we enjoyed the outdoor seating. The menu has a lot of tempting options. I chose a delicious risotto. Last year we only stopped by for a drink so I'm glad we opted for a meal this time around!

My wife and I loved this place so much we ate there three nights in a row! I had the Mahi Tacos, the halibut, and the salmon. All were delicious and cooked perfectly. I also tried the "New Fashioned", which is a twist on an old fashioned and I loved it. It may be my new go to cocktail. The warm chips and guacamole are a recommended start to your meal. The hummus plate with flatbread and veggies is also great and perfect for sharing. The staff is friendly and service is quick. A bright and charming atmosphere reminds you that you are at the beach. Sitting outside is nice if not too sunny. We have two small children, 5 and 3, and they liked the chicken tenders and hamburger...and the guac!! If you're in OCMD you have to try Longboard Cafe. You're crazy if you don't.

Came for dinner with my wife and two kids after reading good reviews. We decided to eat on the deck since it was a beautiful night. No wait and the hostess and wait staff were very attentive. We could hear the live music which was great. Our kids have shellfish allergies so the staff was quick to tell us that they don't cook any of their shellfish in the fryers. I ordered a basic margarita that came out quickly and tasted great. My wife ordered the buffalo wings as her entree and I ordered the Longboard burger while the kids had grilled cheese and chicken strips. My wife said the wings were a little fatty but not bad. The burger was really good and was cooked as requested with a delicious bun. The kids both enjoyed their entrees. I ordered a coconut margarita that was great - definitely not as strong as the first one but really delicious as a "dessert". Again, the wait staff was really excellent - very professional. I'd definitely recommend this place if you're in the area. It's close to mini golf and the Ron Jon shop so there's lots to look at before or after your meal.

Went for dinner with friends on Sunday Night. Not sure if it was because of their last night open but, crab soup came out cold and had to be re-heated, steaks were over cooked (ordered mid-rare, came out closer to medium / mid-well). Crab Quesadilla was awesome along with the side salads and crabcakes. Would come back to try it again.

This is a solid option for a sit-down meal for vacationers staying around 67th street. A group of us walked here for a casual dinner on a Friday night after making a reservation and were seated upstairs. The interior is small, and the upstairs is especially intimate and only seats about 20 people total. There was a TV playing the US Open matches, which was a nice touch because our food took a LONG time. For perspective, we were seated shortly after 7:30, ordered after about 15-20 minutes, but didn't get our food until 8:30. Man, I was hungry! Despite that, the food was delicious. I ordered the jerk mahi tacos and was impressed by how big they were. I actually had trouble finishing all three, partially because they were also much spicier than I had anticipated. The ingredients were very fresh, and I also enjoyed the small side of pasta salad as well. My friends ordered the baja fish tacos and the Longboard Cafe burger and enjoyed their meals as well. I would definitely come here again if I were staying in the area and wanted a nice, casual sit-down dinner.

I went to Longboard with a friend on a weekend trip to the beach. I'd never heard of the place. It was evening, and the restaurant had beautiful lighting, live music that wasn't too loud, and the high loft ceiling makes the place feel big and open. We sat at the bar and the service was excellent. Drinks were strong and food came out quickly. It was all good but what stands out in my mind are the green beans. Served in some type of balsamic vinegar glaze, they were just amazing. I don't usually get excited about green beans but they were so good--I'd go back just to order them again!

Visited here after Maui mini golf with the kids, and it was a good choice. Even for our picky eaters. 3 y.o. enjoyed Mac 'n cheese elbows in a perfectly tiny crock pot. 5 y.o. enjoyed the unique crunch on chicken nuggets and ranch. Mom and dad got the fries so no need to upgrade on our entrees. Jerk mahi taco covered in mango over cabbage hit many taste points. Might be too creamy but overall yummy. BLT with fried egg and avocado was nice mix of salt and sweet. Prolly could have skipped avo because there was guac on the other plate. Margs too and then a jaunt to Rob Jons to walk off the mini buzz. Warning for parties with toddlers: no chocolate milk here but Sweet Frogs next door.

Over priced and underwhelming. Apparently they feel comfortable selling garlic shrimp which doesn't taste like garlic for $15 and only putting 3 on the plate. To call it a disappointment is an understatement. The lamb appetizers were almost as disappointing. Three of them, thinly sliced, overcooked and the only flavor came from the glob of decent cilantro sauce on top... Which I partially scraped off to help give my Mexican Street Corn a bit more flavor, since it was not quite what I was expecting either. The service was almost non-existent, and we noticed that we weren't the only ones. Water comes in a tall bottle, leaving the wait staff to focus on whatever else they were doing. After our food took about 25 minutes, we only saw our waitress once before we asked someone else for the check. Never again.

Impressed even my picky parents- very pleased! Great food & there's something for everyone. I went last night with my husband and parents and tried some of the green beans- so good that we ordered more:) My family loved the special- mussels in red sauce appetizer- we are hoping they add it to the menu because we plan on coming back. We also tried the salmon salad, chopped steak salad and crab cake dinner & all were wonderful. The service was prompt, friendly & accommodating:!)

This cafe is connected to a bunch of cute stores. The set up of the restaurant makes you feel like you're eating on the beach even though you aren't. They offer tables inside if you're interested in watching some live music, but they also offer al fresco dining which is awesome. The wait was a little long, but it was busy and the waitress clearly tried her hardest with everything that was going on. We took a tour of the tacos and they were all amazing. From the sweet of the mango salsa and spicy of the blackened mahi mahi in the Baja taco to the tender teriyaki of the steak fajita they were amazing. Definitely somewhere to try on your travels.

Went to longboard based on Internet recommendations. This restaurant is fabulous! Crab quesadillas steak and fish tacos, grilled Caesar with shrimp and the black n blue burger were ALL amazing! This place is the bomb.com . I ordered the hickory bacon burger because it got me in the mood for the fourth of July. We were seated right away and the food came out quickly, although it wasn't very busy when we went in. The burger was cooked exactly the way I ordered it and the presentation of my meal was gorgeous. I love this place and I love the service and I love the food.

This place was awesome. The food was excellent, and our server was on point. We had a wide variety of food (wings, flatbread with duck confie, the longboard burger, steak, and a salad). Everything was amazing, including the service (and they had a packed house). I highly recommend eating here

We went looking for something that didn't have a skull and crossbones out front and wasn't pimping all you can eat steak. Longboard popped up on Yelp! and we gave it a go. Good on us! The staff is attentive and super friendly. The food is amazing. Give the crab tacos a try.

Longboard is in their 3rd season after the usual bumps in the road they are off to an American Pharoh start. Regular menu is different from standard OC menus. Specials change every 3-4 days. Apps, entrees and fish. Voted best wings recently and just awarded trip advisor excellence award for 2015. Worth the trip to 67th st. Will not be disappointed

We made a reservation here for 11 people on a Saturday night. Got seated promptly. Most of us ordered the Baja fish tacos ($11.95) and they were delicious! A big piece of fried fish covered with tomatoes, cabbage and a mayo type sauce. It came with three tacos per order and it included a side of pasta salad. The pasta salad was ok - not a lot of flavor. We let the waitress know that it was our friends bday so they brought us a brownie topped with whip cream. It was warm and very rich. I loved it! Perfect to share with a couple people. The only downside was that they charged us for it.. We assumed it was free since it was for a birthday. However, it was only $3ish so it wasn't that bad. Our waitress was friendly, but it took us awhile to get the food. We were ok with it sense we weren't too hungry, but we were ready to eat when we finally got the food!

Stopped in for lunch. The place is amazing. Very laid back and relaxing atmosphere. Lee our bartender was more then pleasant and helpful. He definitely added to the experience. Started off with the famous green beans. Outstanding app!! Highly recommend them!! Next I got a long board burger....which was mouth watering good!! Great place!! Great service!! Great atmosphere!! Will highly recommend to any person!!! Again, I have to complement Lee on his great service!! Longboard owners: great choice of people you have working for you. Made the place 10 times better.

Went for dinner this evening based on a recommendation from my sisters friend that's local. Very accommodating hostesses and the waitress had water at our table right after we were seated. We ordered the Nachos Sink that was very good. It came with Queso, guacamole and salsa on the side that was very tasty and quickly scarfed down by our crew. The waitress brought us more chips as well as some fresh made bread with a garlicky dipping sauce. I didn't try this however those in our party that did enjoyed it. I had the Surf and Turf and Surf which comes with an 8 oz sirloin, 2 large shrimp (sautéed), a tablespoon of crab cake and the vegetable of the day. It was $37 so for a cafe it was the priciest entree there and by my standards a premium for what it was. Everything was good and laid back surf atmosphere was nice though so worth the $$$.

My family and I have been to Longboard several times. Each time, it has been a good experience. Love the green bean app and the figs! Recently had chicken topped with crab and a light gravey that was excellent. Family members had beef dishes that were tender and delicious. Good solid food. There is a nice adult drink selection and would recommend the key lime martini. Our waiters have always been attentive and efficient, not to mention very friendly. This is a small, but comfortable restaurant that offers good food and good service.

I popped in for a quick lunch and had the fish tacos. the waitress said they were her favorite thing on the menu. I was a bit disappointed. They were fried and didn't taste fresh at all. On a better note, the salsa is made in-house and was decent and you could pick flour or corn tortillas.

Ok ok Beach food right? Yeah you got . Why do so many places suck at the beach? Im buying groceries at super fresh and cooking at home. Thank god my place has a kitchen. Party of 4, we were seated quickly and the service was on point. Ordered Salsa trio appetizer, fried asparagus to start. We ordered a Longboard burger, Ahi Tuna Burger, Chicken Wrap, and Fish Tacos. The salsas were awful, no flavor at all. I think they don't put salt on anything. The fried asparagus was ok, they were fried in a heavy funnel cake type batter. Dipping sauce was good. My wife's burger was flavorless and not cooked as ordered. My ahi tuna also lacked flavor and was over cooked. The Fish tacos were much better but again I think the cook that day forgot salt existed. My son liked the chicken wrap and fries. The drinks were also so-so, I like the fact they use fresh fruit. We won't be coming back, just not worth it.

My husband and I are always searching for decent fish tacos on the East coast. We have spent a lot of time in SoCal where great fish tacos are a staple on most menus. Wow, we were pleasantly surprised at the tacos we found here at Longboards Cafe! We tried both the mahi fish taco and pulled pork tacos. We like a little surf and turf combo whenever we order entrees so that we can share. Fish was fresh and seasoned just right also topped with shredded cabbage (popular in Cali) a light amount of cheese and plenty of limes on the side to squeeze for the finishing touch and served on a corn tortilla. YUM! Pulled pork also on a corn tortilla was equally as delicious and of course we topped it off with a side of slaw. As good as any Carolina pork and slaw sandwich I have ever tried. What a combination! Sean at the bar made me a margarita with fresh squeezed lime, agave and fresh orange juice! Also, very SoCal. (I don't care for all the junk in drink mixes.) If you are looking for fresh, tasty and delicious you gotta try this place. Service was great as well!

What a fantastic find. I had the shrimp curry over coconut rice it was delicious. Also had the salmon which was quite good. Finally the drinks were delicious and reasonable. The pipeline rum drink went down so easy. The staff were attentive, friendly and very helpful. We will be back.

  • Jessica S.

Luv this place. On this visit I ordered the oyster and shrimp po'boy and I was not disappointed. Even the unsweetened ice tea was 4 out of 5 stars. Like how Rick the owner is always around. The key to this restaurants success I'm sure.

Adorable new restaurant in ocean city! Delicious fresh menu & attentive service with a smile. The steak fajita tacos & fried green beans were excellent! Also loved the music & laid back vibe. Will definitely come back again!

We went looking for something that didn't have a skull and crossbones out front and wasn't pimping all you can eat steak. Longboard popped up on Yelp! and we gave it a go. Good on us! The staff is attentive and super friendly. The food is amazing. Give the crab tacos a try.

superb food and great service... we had the chips and salsa/queso/guac, the crab avocado tower, and the ahi burger, all very good... with four drinks it was about $80 before tip, so not cheap.
